Walking Meditation

Whenever we walk.... we can practice meditation. This means that we know that we are walking. We walk simply for the act of walking, moving into the present moment with each step. No longer in a hurry, we walk with freedom and solidity. 

Walking in mindfulness nourishes this natural, graceful movement. Look around and see how wondrous life is; the graceful trees, the forming clouds, the expansive sky, the joyous bird song and the freshness of the breeze. Life is all around. We are alive, healthy, and walking in peace. 

Let us walk in freedom, feeling our steps become lighter and lighter. Let us enjoy each nourishing, healing step we make and, as we walk, we gently imprint our gratitude and our love upon this beloved earth.
